Before I
start reading this book, I’ve been afraid that it won’t reach my expectations
about it and I’ve been afraid of not enjoying it like the previous ones since I’ve
seen the low ratings of the other readers at Goodreads. But then in my
perspective, the book is as awesome as the previous 2 novels in the series.
Another great thing about this book is the time traveling which shows the total
history of Luce and Daniel and I really love the impact and how Kate introduce
each century of their lives. I think this book deserve more than 3 stars since
it provides a great information that supports the rest of the book and it
completes the puzzle and answers the questions that’s been bothering me since
Fallen.
I’m happy for
Luce, that finally she had grown up and learned to be matured enough to handle
the situation. What can I say about Daniel, he’s so sweet, gorgeous and still
the angel I have loved from Fallen. But since the appearances of the other
angels are just fleeting, I have missed them especially Arriane since she’s one
of my favourite among the clan of the good angles. Well for Bill, I’ve been so sceptical
about him since he step into the spotlight.
This book is
not just the missing piece in a puzzle, but it’s also a good foundation for the
final instalment which I’m already craving to read.

Vanish is an unbelievable sequel
to Firelight. I never thought that it would be a melancholic, heart wrenching,
suspense and action pack plot. I never expected the contents of the story
except that it would be hard for Jacinda. And maybe Vanish is the darkest and
saddest book in the Firelight trilogy.
In this book I’ve seen a better
side of Cassian and I could say that he’s not bad like I’ve known him from the
first book. And new sets of characters have been introduce that possesses a strong
type of personalities just like Miram and Corbin who are very annoying
especially Corbin that wrenches my flesh whenever he threatens Jacinda. And
Jacinda whom I really admired in Firelight, but then I got a little disappointed
with her because she shows weakness, stubbornness and she refuse to fight back
and I want the old Jacinda back.
What else I can say, Jordan
writes exceptionally. But in comparison with Firelight, I prefer Firelight
since its glowing with happy vibes. The climax part just brought back the life
in the story and the essence in the plot since it’s filled with action,
suspense and a taste of drama which enclosed in a cliff hanger ending that made
me crave for the sequel.

Awesome and breath
taking read. I hate to say this but the first few parts of the novel became
hard for me to digest and get myself so engrossed to until the romance part
kicks in. The love story is very cute and interesting and for me it’s the life
of the novel since it’s a dystopian book and the plot is in the middle of
chaos. For a debut author, the writing is quite fresh and exceptional,
especially since Mafi wrote it from the perspective of the main character. It’s
incredible to share the adventure with Juliette in untangling what she really
is.
The
characters are incredibly good even the villain played well and surpassed my
standard of hateful antagonist. And Adam is gorgeous. I could just imagine how
gentle and caring he is and he’s making a name in my favourite list of
characters. Even the minor characters are awesome well played.
Well, the
ending took me by surprise; I just didn’t expect it to end like that. Anyway it
will be more convenient to read the rest of the series.

beginning of the book it already got me hooked. A lot of thing had happened that
got me so intrigue. The plot is very rich and carefully crafted. Plus the set
of characters are awesome and they played their part perfectly. It’s fast pace
at some point and yet at some it just goes on with its normal pace.
Sasha is very
sweet and I found how awesome and helpful she is. I could even picture how
innocent and her face. I can’t help but pity her for all the bullying they’re
doing with her. And also her total being intrigues me especially the prophecy
and destiny that awaits her. Well for Ajax since he’s a creature of hell, I don’t
feel the essence of him doing a typical dark creature thing; instead I find him
sweet and a total gentleman.
I like the
concept about heaven and hell and salvation for people who did their best to
earn it, plus the concept of a prophecy coming true. Although I just don’t like
the ending because it came into a total rush. But then it’s a pretty good start
for a series and I have a good feeling that the story will progress and it will
surpass my expectations.

I never expected to fall in love with

I never expected my past to come back and haunt me...
This, this is
one ultimate vampire themed book. It’s one of the best Young Adult books I’ve
read so far. It gives an extraordinary twist to the mythological nature of
vampire. I love the plot, it’s quite amazing and every scene is unpredictable. The
writing is exceptional, and every detail was finely described. I love how the
flashback parts get coordinated with the present scenes and it doesn’t jumble
up and made me wonder on what’s going on.
The romantic moments
of Lenah and Rhode are very interesting even though it was emphasized in the
flashbacks. It’s sad and yet it’s really romantic that Rhode sacrificed himself
just so Lenah could attain her human body once again. Rhode is a very noble and
a man of his words. I’m just disappointed that I only saw glimpses of him in
this book. Lenah is one of the best female protagonists that I’ve known and come
to love. She’s smart, brave and she could easily fit in with her environment
even though the time she remembers has long been gone. The other characters are
also exceptional with different sort of personalities that I can’t help not to
notice. I’m just a little sceptical with Justin and Lenah’s relationship due to
its rush.
The climax
part made my heart jump and I never foresee the events that’s about to happen.
I’m just a little disappointed to meet the ending in a very fast rate although it’s
an ending that made me crave for the sequel and I hope I could see more of
Rhode in the rest of the series.

I love it and this book appealed to
me more than the first instalment does. And I can say that this book is way
better and more exciting to read due its unexpected twist and turns than the
first book. It’s a page turner and its 288 pages are still not enough for me
and I’m still aiming for more.
I feel so agitated at times to know
more about the next scenes to come and it made me so excited to keep on turning
on the pages. It’s hard to guess at times what could happen furthermore and sometimes
it leaves me into an intersection of questions of where could the story take
me. And I also love the time travelling part, especially when Tamsin travelled back
in the Victorian era. It compromises trilling, suspense and action scenes that
also piqued my attention.
Tamsin had been a lovable character
in the first book, but in this instalment
I got to know her more and see that she’d come to be matured enough to realize
the answers to all the questions that have been bugging her. I’ve been able to
dig more to know the side of the antagonists and I’m happy to finally be
enlighten how crook they are.
I truly enjoyed reading this book
and I hope there could be more to the series because I really am in love with
the series.
