ABOUT ME:

THE BIRTH OF FICTION SPARK:

Fiction Spark, it’s a name that suddenly pops in my head when I decided to start my own blog. I was thinking of the last SPARK that triggered Katniss in the book Mockingjay that inspired me to construct my own blog where I could voice out my own opinions and insights about the books I read.  My friends think I’m a book psycho and nerd and no one’s interested to hear my bookish topics. And I’m so desperate to discuss the books I have read, so I created my own space where I could shout out my thoughts, passion and love for books.

Reading has been my hobby for two years now. The world wide phenomenon series, The Twilight Saga is my stepping stone to enter the world of Fiction in pages. After I’ve read the entire series, I realize that I’m hungry for not just one more book to read, but a lot of them and I want to devour myself in those creatively written pages. So until now, reading is my permanent hobby.

In this blog, you can find reviews, recommendations, maybe in the future author/publisher interviews and the latest releases in the Young Adult section. I may also add some random stuffs book related or not when I’m not reading a book.

THE PERSON BEHIND FICTION SPARK:

Hi, My name is Grace. I live in Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines. I have a great passion for reading books. I usually read Young Adult fictions. I prefer Paranormal, Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, a little bit of Sci-fi and Romance. I usually pick up series books since I love to read wide scaled plots and I love to see the characters interact with one another and their development in accordance with the situation in the book. Plus I love the feeling it gives me to wait for the sequel and guess what will going to happen next. I’m also dreaming of becoming an author someday. I used to write poems way back in college, but I’ve long drop that hobbit due to my occupied schedules. Aside from reading, I also enjoy watching Asian drama flicks such as Taiwanese and Korean dramas, preferably Romance-Comedy genre. And not only Asian dramas, I also watch American TV series such as Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, and Glee. Sometime when I’m on the mood, I draw or paint. I’ve been doing painting and sketching since the age of 6. At the moment when books are out of my sight I study Foreign Languages and Asian History and Cultures. You can always spot me in social networking sites such as Facebook, spilling some rubbish on the newsfeed. I’m married to the love of my life and a mother to our only son.

I’m willing to accept book suggestions as long as its in my field of interest. If you’re a publisher or an author, I’m willing to review ARC’s and published books. Your free to leave comments and suggestions as long as its wholesome and it won’t disturb other readers. You can contact me at cool_teddy_bears[at]yahoo[dot]com.
